An information input unit is provided to suppress the leakage of the magnetic flux from the magnet by interposing a back yoke between a rotating cover and a magnet. An information input unit includes a substrate, a holder, a rotating cover, a magnet and a back yoke(190). A plurality of switch elements are radially installed in the substrate. A hall element is installed in the substrate. The holder is arranged in the substrate. The rotating cover is rotatably installed in the holder. The magnet rotates with the rotating cover. The back yoke is installed between the rotating cover and the magnet. A supporting member(160) is fixed in the rotating cover. The back yoke is integrated with the supporting member. A plurality of support pieces(163) are formed in the supporting member. The support piece supports one side of the back yoke.
