The method involves closing notches (4), provided on the circumference of a case forming tube (3), by retractable rods (12) during introduction of a guide bearing (2) in the tube. O-ring joints (6, 7) of the guide bearing are passed in front of the closed notches. The closing of the notches is prevented such that maintaining pins (5) are positioned in the notches of the tube, where the pins are placed at the periphery of the bearing. An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing a guide bearing assembling method.
