APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORT DATA CARD

The arrangement has a carriage (10) with a card holder movable between the input/output and read/write positions. The carriage is locked at the input/output position and biassed towards the read/write position. Inserting a data card (11) through an input slot activates the lock to release the carriage. A drive arrangement moves the carriage back to the input/output position controlled by a data card output signal whilst simultaneously tensioning a biasing spring (18) and causing the carriage to be locked in the input/output position.
