<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the easiness in the maintenance operation for a brake by precluding drop of an eccentric cam off from a cover part even when the cover part is removably mounted on the body of callipers in the horizontally installed condition. SOLUTION: When brake is applied, a rod 32a advances to rotate a cam body 25 through sleeve 31 and cam lever 25a round the axis of a needle bearing 28 in the specified direction. Thereby an eccentrically located strut pushing piece 26 of the cam body 26 makes a revolving motion to move a strut 6 to the left and presses an inner pad 4 to a disc rotor 1, and using the reaction force given therefrom an eccentric cam 7 displaces the callipers 3 in the opposite direction and presses an outer pad 5 to the mating surface of the disc rotor 1. When a cover part 9 is mounted or removed on/from the body 8 of callipers for maintenance operation in the condition that the callipers 3 are installed horizontally, a projection 25b on the cam lever 25a hitches at a fixing anchor 24 to prevent the eccentric cam 7 from falling off, and thus the maintenance operation can be executed without requiring removal of the brake device.</p> |
