WATERBORNE PIGMENT DISPERSION AND RECORDING SOLUTION FOR INK JETTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterborne pigment dispersion having excellent dispersibility and provide a recording solution for ink jetting of an organic pigment type by using this waterborne pigment dispersion as an ink, thus showing ink-jet stability from the nozzles without nozzle clogging and good ink redissolution at the nozzles and gives sufficient ink concentration on printing. SOLUTION: This waterborne pigment dispersion contains organic pigment particles having their surfaces undergoing sulfonylation treatment in which the sulfonic acid groups on the carbon black surfaces are neutralized with ammonia or an amine to sulfonate groups. In a preferred embodiment, the salt-forming amine is at least one selected from the group consisting of dimethylaminoethanol, diethylaminoethanol, monoethanolamine, triethylamine, and trimethylamine.
