PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tablet preparation that can improve the fluidity of powder without using lubricant, the taste quality, hardness and moisture absorption, and is useful for food products, medicines and the like, by directly compressing xylitol powder coated with a lipid that is solid at room temperature. SOLUTION: Xylitol particles are coated with a lipid that is solid at room temperature such as hardened tallow oil, preferably in an amount of 0.1-6.0 wt.%, and the coated xylitol powder is directly compressed to prepare the objective tablets. The resultant lipid-coated xylitol powder is mixed with a sugar alcohol selected from the group consisting of sorbitol, maltitol, mannitol, lactitol, palatinit, erythritol and their mixtures and they are directly compressed into the objective tablets. |
