PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet coating agent suitable for an outer door advertisement recording medium excellent coloration and resolution, and in particular, superior water resistance and weatherability. SOLUTION: The ink jet coating agent contains a silica mixture of 10-80 wt.% at a solid content ratio by weight, which consists of 15-90 wt.% water- absorptive polyurethane relative to a total coating agent, 10-30 wt.% silica having an average particle diameter of 6-9μm, 15-40 wt.% light diffusive silica having an average particle diameter of 10-15μm, and 15-40 wt.% porous silica having an average particle diameter of 10-22μm.
