<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove nitrogen and BOD matter contained in sewage, etc., even when the liq. temp. is lowered in winter and to automatically regenerate an exchanger capable of absorbing the BOD matter, etc., without introducing a regenerating soln. SOLUTION: This device is formed with a contact tank 2 for bringing zeolite and activated sludge into contact with sewage and making org. matter such as BOD matter in the sewage adsorb on the activated sludge and ammoniacal nitrogen adsorb on the zeolite, a setting separation tank 3 for setting a liq. mixture of the sewage, the zeolite and the activated sludge passed through the contact tank 2, discharging the supernatant liq. and setting and separating the activated sludge and the zeolite absorbing the org. matter and the ammoniacal nitrogen, a regenerating and stabilizing tank 4 for transferring the separated activated sludge and the zeolite to an oxygen-free part 4a, then, circulating them between the part 4a and an aerobic part 4b, removing the org. matter and the ammoniacal nitrogen absorbed on the activated sludge and the zeolite and supplying the liq. again to the contact tank and an excess sludge removing means 6 for extracting a fixed amt. of the circulating liq. from the aerobic part 4b, flocculating and dehydrating the liq.</p> |
