PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject film of a large area having the optical main shaft in a direction inclined from the normal line direction of the film, having a positive reflective anisotropy and excellent in durability by performing the oblique deposition of an inorganic dielectric substance at a specific deposition distance on a polymer film. SOLUTION: This film, which is suitable for improving visual field angle characteristics of TN-LCD, is obtained by performing oblique deposition preferably of an inorganic dielectric substance such as tantalum oxide (V), titanium oxide (IV) or zirconium oxide (IV) at a deposition distance of <=400 mm, preferably 100-400 mm, more preferably 150-350 mm on at least one side of the surfaces of a polymer film and preferably on a formed intermediate layer. |
