PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shoe press belt having excellent strengths in a cross machine direction(CMD) together with a machine direction(MD) and a dimensional stability in the CMD, with excellent productivity, and a producing method therefor. SOLUTION: This shoe press belt is composed of an endless first resin layer formed on a rotatable mandrel surface having a polished surface, a base cloth layer 3 on which a woven cloth piece P using a high strength yarn S as at least one crossing yarn is arranged all over the periphery on an outer periphery of the first resin layer so that the high strength yarn S runs along an axis direction of the mandrel, a yarn winding layer 4 prepared by spirally winding the high strength yarn (Sy in the figure) on an outer periphery of the base cloth layer 3 in a circular direction, and an endless second resin layer 5 formed on an outer periphery of the yarn winding layer 4, and the second resin layer 5 is characterized by contacting with the first resin layer through the base cloth layer 3 and the yarn winding layer 4, and further is constructed to exhibit sufficient strengths both in the MD and in the CMD. |
