PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate maintenance work of a sealing apparatus by retreating sealing heads to a position higher than their moving paths at the time of sealing operation in a simple structure in the case where the sealing heads are vertically moved by using a rotary cam. SOLUTION: A movable table 12 is vertically driven with the aid of a cam groove 35a formed in one of faces of a cam disc 35 and is driven in a horizontal direction with the aid of a cam groove 35b formed in the other face thereof. Speed at the moment when sealing heads 14 are moved down to abut against containers can be controlled to zero according to the shape of the cam grooves so as to cause no shock occurring from the descent of the sealing heads and, thereafter, the sealing heads 14 are operated to be pressurized. Further, by moving a follower 36 to a position spaced apart from the cam groove 35a, the sealing heads 14 are lifted so as to enable maintenance work to be carried out. |
