PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce activated carbon at a temp. as low as possible and to more save energy in this way at the time of recycle-producing the activated carbon by using a tire being a waste material and especially its rubber-mode part as a raw material. SOLUTION: A production device 1 having an outer pot 3 and inner pots 4...4 is prepared and after charging rubber from which foreign matter is removed and taken out, into the plural inner pots 4...4 in the device 1, the inside of the inner pots 4...4 is kept in the state of 3-4 atmospheric pressure and 700-800 deg.C and its state is kept for 4-8 hr by heating from the lower part of the outer pot 3 by a heater 6 at 300-400 deg.C to produce the activated carbon. |
