PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing useful protein by which a useful protein such as interferon is stabilized so as to be stably preserved without deactivation by mixing the aqueous solution of a compound having a base structure of arabic acid, with the useful protein. SOLUTION: The aqueous solution of a compound having a base structure of arabic acid of the formula (Galp is D-galactopyranose; Rhap is L- rhamnopyranose; Araf is L-arabofuranose; G.A. is D-glucuronic acid) in an amount regulated so that the objective composition may have a concentration of 0.01-10.0 wt.% is mixed with a useful protein comprising cytokines or the like such as interferon, and freeze-dried, and, if necessary, further reversed to the aqueous solution to stably preserve the useful protein without deactivating in the method for stabilizing the useful protein. |
