PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly heat a vehicle window glass to facilitate the defrosting by providing a flexible film heater having an electrode with a prescribed pattern and a positive temperature characteristic resistive heating element nipped between opposed base films, and detachably mounting it on the vehicle window glass by electrostatic attraction. SOLUTION: In the use of a heating device D, a film heater 1 wound in a housing part 2 is extended, and the surface of the heater 1 is frictionally charged by rubbing it by a hand or brush. The resulting film heater 1 is attracted to the front glass G of a motor vehicle by electrostatic attracting force, and a plug 18 at the end of a lead wire is connected to the cigarette lighter electric plug socket of the vehicle, whereby a current is carried to a positive temperature characteristic resistive heating element buried in a prescribed pattern in the heater 1, which is heated in the range of about 55 deg.C±5 deg.C to quickly heat the front glass G. Thus, the snow or frost laid on the front glass G can quickly be melted.
