PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of a tire while keeping normal running performance at a high level with inner pressure filled up and to enhance runflat running performance. SOLUTION: This tire has side walls 16, a carcass layer 18, a belt layer 20 and a tread part 22 disposed in order for reinforcing and a reinforcing rubber layer 24 in a crescent moon shape in cross section is provided for the inner circumferential surface of the carcass layer 18 of the side walls 16. In this case, reinforcing cords comprising organic fiber filaments in an unusual shape in cross section each twisted together, are used in the carcass layer. When a circumscribed circle is brought into contact with the outer circumference of the cross sections of the fiber filaments, the unusual shape in cross section has at least more than one recessed part overlapped to the circumscribed circle, and it is desirable that (1/10) D<=d<=(1/3) D is satisfied by the relationship between both of parties, where (d) is the depth of each recessed part, and D is the diameter of the circumscribed circle. |
