PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ink composition that can reduce ink bleeding without adverse effect on the printing quality, shorten the drying time, when the ink collides with the printing medium and can increase reliability by using a water-insoluble organic compound and a specific pigment precursor. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a water-insoluble organic compound such as xylene and (B) a pigment precursor that is soluble in the component A, and can be converted to the insoluble pigment chemically, thermally or photolytically. In a preferred embodiment, the amount of component A is about 3-30 wt.% based on the whole composition, component B is about 1-4 wt.%. As a component B, is cited N,N'-bis-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-3,6-diphenyl-1,4- diketo-pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole, which is prepared by reaction of 3,6-dipheny]-1,4- diketo-pyrrolo-[3,4-c]pyrrole, a pigment, with di-tert-butyl dicarbonate. |
