<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionic air cleaner of a self-cleaning type in which energy saving and miniaturization of a device are contrived by enhancing thermal efficiency of self-cleaning. SOLUTION: Since a dust collection electrode 70 is formed into a tubular body shape and a sheathed heater 71 is incorporated in the inside thereof, thermal efficiency for a catalytic layer 77 is made good and energy saving is contrived. Further, since the dust collection electrode 70 is formed into the tubular body shape, an unequal electric field is easily caused between a discharge electrode 60 and the dust collection electrode 70 in comparison with constitution using the dust collection electrode having a conventional plate shape. Accordingly, coroner discharge is easily caused. Therefore, it is sufficient that such high voltage is not impressed between both electrodes 60, 70 and a high-tension circuit is made inexpensive. Further, in the dust collection electrode 70 formed of the tubular body shape, space is saved in comparison with the dust collection electrode formed of the plate shape and miniaturization of the ionic air cleaner is contrived.</p> |
