摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heat and cool a hydrogen storage alloy in powder form effectively and reduce eccentric existence of the hydrogen storage alloy. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storing element of such a structure that a hydrogen storage alloy is accommodated in voids in a metal porous body having communication holes three-dimensionally is installed in a sealed vessel as outer casing which is equipped with a hydrogen supplying/discharging port and whose outside surface is to be heated and cooled in such an arrangement that the outside surface of the element is in tight attachment to the inside surface of the outer casing. The hydrogen storing element can be put in tight attachment to the inside surface of the outer casing by means of volume expansion of the hydrogen storage alloy. If the element after accommodation of the alloy is held compressed, the tight attachment to the outer casing is generated in a still short time. If a binding agent is mixed with the alloy, loss of the alloy at the time of handling is reduced.</p>
