PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the amount and efficiency of power generation by a solar- cell paddle for an artificial satellite at a low cost and to miniaturize the paddle. SOLUTION: A solar-cell paddle 1, having solar-cell panels 2 on which solar cells are arranged, has foldable and deployable reflectors 6 provided around the solar-cell panels 2. The reflectors 6 are provided on both sides of the line of the plural solar-cell panels 2 foldably and deployably connected together in the form of a folding screen by a folding/deploying mechanism 5. A reflector drive mechanism 7 rotatably holds the reflectors 6 at a predetermined angleθto the solar-cell panels 2 in such a manner that the sides having the reflectors 6 mounted thereon are used as axes. A stress-and-relief mechanism 8 folds (stresses) or deploys (relieves) the reflectors 6 to the backs (or fronts) of the solar-cell panels 2. The angle 6 is selected so that light impinging on the reflectors 6 is entirely reflected by the solar-cell panels 2.
