METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING SEVERITY OF ATHEROSCLEROTIC LESIONS OF CAROTID ARTERIES AND UNFAVORABLE PROGNOSIS OF DISEASE IN HYPERTENSIVE PATIENTS

A method for diagnosing the severity of the atherosclerotic lesions of the carotid arteries and the unfavorable prognosis of the disease in the hypertensive patients provides for the echographic examination for locating the lesions in the extracranial arteries and assessing their precise structure. The atherosclerotic lesions of the right carotid artery predict more probable development of the complication, predominantly the cerebral ones.
