摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To surely reduce the shock accompanied with the speed change operation by detecting the speed change operation of an automatic transmission and estimating the completion time of the speed change operation and reducing the engine output during the time from the starting period of the speed change operation to the completion time. CONSTITUTION:The opening degree of the throttle of an engine A mounted onto a vehicle is detected by a control means C. Further, the speed change operation of an automatic transmission B which is similarly mounted onto the vehicle and the revolution speed of a turbine are detected by the means D and E. When the above- described speed change operation is detected, the completion time of the speed change operation is estimated by a means F on the basis of the kind of speed change operation, throttle opening degree, and the revolution speed of the turbine. During the period from the time point of detection of the speed change operation to the estimated completion time of the speed change operation, control is performed by a means G so that the output of the engine A is reduced. Therefore, also in the case when manual shift is carried out arbitrarily, the completion time of the speed change operation is properly set, and the speed change shock is reduced.</p>
