The pump has a metal membrane type damper (17,19) provided on the fuel inlet and outlet side respectively to reduce pressure pulses of fuel by deformation. Each damper comprises a pressure chamber (33,39) to hold fuel pressure, a counter pressure chamber (59,65) filled with gas, and a metal membrane (61,67) to divide the pressure chamber from the counter pressure chamber. The counter pressure chamber of the second damper has a stop (75) to limit the deformation of the second membrane on the counter pressure chamber side.
