Signature conveyor for folder unit of rotary web-fed printing machine

The folder unit has a delaying part with delaying cylinder (5) and or discharge cylinder (6) which is more slowly rotatably driven than the peripheral speed of the pickup cylinder (4). A fast-moving conveyor (110) conveys the signatures (S1) received from the delaying part at the same speed as the delaying part. A slow moving conveyor (130) conveys the signatures at a slow speed. A second conveyor (120) for altering the speed has several speed-changing drive rollers receiving the signatures from the fast conveyor and capable of altering the speed so as to discharge the signatures onto the slow conveyor so that the speed is gradually reduced. The section in which one end of the entry part of the conveyor and the fast conveyor are joined, and the section in which one end of the delivery part of the conveyor and the slow conveyor are joined each have a shared section.
