The interval between the two preferably soft or fleecy rollers (3,4a) of the appliance ensures that an inserted hand or forearm is compressed by the rollers between volar (palm) and dorsal (back) sides. The top roller (3) is a wasted design as opposed to the bottom roller (4) which is barrel-shaped in longitudinal section so that with the rollers carried in parallel their exteriors are complementary to leave an upwards swept interval. A drive (5) rotates the two rollers in synchronism so the hand is drawn in by the bottom roller as the top roller strokes the rear of the hand in the direction of the heart. The drive provides torque to its two drive wheels via a gear with its adjustable rev. count stepped down via its small and large diameter meshing wheels. An opening (1a) in the top part of the housing (1) admits the hand between the rollers, using a heavy and stable housing bottom part (2). Inserting the hand trips the drive microswitch automatically, using slip coupling between drive and rollers which responds to preset roller pressure to cut out the rotation.
