A fuel cell (1) has a degasifying device(2-4) for the fuel passed to the cell plus a connecting pipe via which the fuel is passed from the degasifying device to the fuel cell. The cell has a pump (3) and a nozzle (4) as parts of the degasifying device. The cell has a container (2). This is located inside the connecting pipe between the nozzle and the cell so that the fuel in the container flows in the direction of the gravity force. The part of the connecting pipe leading from the nozzle to the container opens out laterally into the container.
