The apparatus has a feed table (2) having a number of driven supply rollers (4a-c,5a-c) which draw off fiber slivers from the spinning cans (1) and convey them to a sliver intake. The rollers can be driven at different circumferential speeds adjustable w.r.t. one another, using DC servomotors (11) having a frequency controlled three-phase current short circuit rotor. Preferred Features: The drive device may be an internal drum motor or rotor motor, which may include an internally located stator and an externally located rotor in the form of a hollow cylinder which serves as a supply roller. An Independent claim is included for a method of supplying fiber slivers to a spinning room machine.
