The stirrer system (C) for a magnetic stirrer is composed of two components (A, B) keyed together for rotation. The bond between them can be released, have a limited release action or be durably locked together. One component (A) is for mounting the stirrer with height adjustment, with a gas and vacuum seal if required. The lower component (B) holds a magnet stirring rod in a fitting with a release action, limited release or in a durable lock.
