Bag re-closing device, e.g. for flexible intermediate bulk container

The bag re-closing device is used for a bag which is suspended with its opening at the bottom for emptying. It has a linear unit (1) to create linear motion of an element along the linear unit, and a traction unit (2) serving as the element, which has a device (4) for fixing the two ends of a cord. The linear unit may have a double-action pneumatic cylinder or a screw spindle drive to create the linear motion of the element.
