The imaging apparatus, e.g. a digital copier (100), has a light source providing a light beam scanned across the surface of a photoconductor for providing a latent image fed to a developer unit for development via an applied toner material. The light source and the beam scanner are contained within a housing attached to the main body of the apparatus via a holder so that the scanning direction of the light beam is at an angle to the movement direction of the photoconductor surface, adjusted by rotation of the housing so that the angle is 90 degrees. An Independent claim for a method of manufacture for an imaging apparatus is also included. |
