The conductive strip may have either no adhesive coating or a coating on the side facing the adhesive of the carrier strip and is therefore non-adhesive in the central area of the outward facing side. Independent claims are included for: (a) a method for producing the adhesive strip in which the application of the conductive, non-adhesive strip onto the carrier strip occurs during the adhesive strip manufacture or is applied subsequently to a previously produced carrier material; and (b) a use for the adhesive strip for butt jointing of strip or tubular materials.
