The electronic assembly has a circuit carrier (3) with electronic and electrical components (7) and/or sensors connected electrically according to the circuit functions and connections (6) for contacting the electronic assembly to equipment to be regulated or controlled and/or to other electronic assemblies. The electronic assembly has a housing (1,12,13,14) forming part of an equipment housing or insulated from it. The unpopulated side of the ceramic circuit carrier is held in contact with the inside of a metal housing wall with a smooth contact surface by a retaining device attached to the housing wall. The components are applied to the circuit carrier using SMD and/or printed circuit techniques.
