<p>The system uses index parameters to identify object classifications. The procedure provides storage of the attributes associated with an object, whose classification forms part of an inheritance tree, in a data packet. Each of the classes contained within the inheritance tree comprises a storage method using an index parameter. The method includes the first stage of calling the storage methods of the parent classes if they exist, and incrementing the index parameter. The second stage includes placing within the packet the first free address in the packet, at the address determined by the index parameter. The third stage consists of copying the attributes of the current class in the packet w.r.t. the first free address, such that one identifies the current class. The method further includes calling the storage method fort he corresponding class with a null value for the index parameter.</p> |
