The yarn feed mechanism, for a textile machine, has a further drive section (20) with a cover which fits on a part of the holder body (50), and a hollow section within it. A roller (210) rotates with a rotating shaft at the holder body (50), and a second roller (220) is rotated by the first roller (210). The feed system also has a tensioning disk section (30) under the holder body (50), with a further roller shaft (222) to carry the disk (310), and a number of rotating disks (300) over the tensioning disk (310). The hollow section at the cover on the holder body (50) has one open side, and the other side is closed and rounded. The width of the cover matches the holder body (50). A yarn guide eyelet and a yarn guide are at the upper part of the cover. The drive section (20) is at the installation section (502) of the holder body (50), shrouded by the hollow section of the cover. The drive force of the rotating shaft of the holder body is transmitted by a belt to a roller. One end of the roller shaft (213) is inserted into a stamped shaft holding hole (509) in the holder body (50), for free rotation. The drive section (20) can be assembled with a roller and a rotating shaft each with external meshing teeth, together with an auxiliary roller and a further roller also with external meshing teeth. A belt drives the auxiliary roller (214) of the first roller (200) and a second roller (220). The other circumference of the auxiliary roller (214) has a smaller diameter than the first roller (210). The holder body (50) has an installation section (502) with a flat surface at least partially over the top. The second yarn guide extends downwards from the holder body (50). The tensioning disk assembly (30) is under the installation section (502) of the holder body (50). The second roller shaft (222) has a polygonal cross section at the upper side.
