The panel has a frame (4) made from aluminum or steel bars (13,14) covered by upper (2) and lower (3) plastic sheets which are joined to the frame by strips (19) of double-sided adhesive strips of an elastic material. At least one of the plastic sheets has an outer surface coating containing a product to give protection against UV rays, and the inner cavity of the panel can contain a sun-deflecting layer.
