A tube nest heat exchanger (10) with a shell (11) under pressure has an inlet tube plate (12) separating the interior of the shell (11) from an inlet manifold (13) for the fluid to be cooled. The tube plate (12) has passages (14) communicating with the interior of the tubes (15). In the manifold (13), a sacrifice plate (16) faces the tube plate (12) to protect it from the impact of the fluid entering the manifold. The sacrifice plate (16) is permanently fastened to the tube plate (12) in a central zone (17) and has its perimeter (18) constrained to slide freely in a radial direction with minimal play in a direction normal to its own surface. |
