The waste water treatment assembly consists of a basin filled with a mass of granular material with marsh plants and a colony of micro-organisms. The granular material is a non-rotting open-pored substrate material of plastic granules, ceramic or slate. The granular material rests on a non-rotting net which can be lifted through the grains by mechanical means to break up an agglomerated mass. The grain size of the material is approx. 5 to 10 mm. |
