PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which array density is enhanced by nearly perpendicularly arranging the device even in the case of disposing plural devices. SOLUTION: This developing device is constituted of a toner storage part 39 for supplying toner, a carrying part 34 horizontally carrying the toner supplied from the toner storage part (toner replenishing container) 39, and a developing part 38 stirring the toner carried from the carrying part 34 and then developing it on an image carrier; and constituted so that the position of the upper level of the toner in a state where the developing part 38 is filled with the toner maximally may be higher than the position of the upper surface of the carrying part 34. The developing device in which the array density is enhanced by nearly perpendicularly arranging the device even in the case of disposing plural devices is obtained by setting a slit 33 lower than the upper surface of the developing part 38 and making the upper surfaces of the developing part 38 and the toner replenishing container 39, and the lower surfaces of the carrying part 34 and the container 39 nearly the same plane. |
