PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer composition containing a maleimide- alkenylbenzene copolymer, and useful for production of a product such as an automobile part and a rubber for a tire tread on which a high flexibility, heat resistance, elasticity and high vibration-damping property act advantageously. SOLUTION: This polymer composition contains a maleimide-alkenylbenzene copolymer. The maleimide-alkenylbenzene copolymer preferably has a molecular weight in the range of 1,000-500,000. The alkenyl part of the maleimide- alkenylbenzene copolymer is preferably selected from styrene,α-methylstyrene, t-butylstyrene, p-methylstyrene, 4-phenylstyrene and the like, and the maleimicle part is preferably a reaction product of a monomer unit concerning the maleic anhydride of an alkenylbenzene-maleic anhydride copolymer with a primary amine, (preferably the primary amine having 1-50C in an alkyl and an alkoxy substituting group, an alkylbenzylamine or the like). |
