PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to control the travel of a following train in such a way that, at the time when the aspect of an ATC signal by a preceding train is restored at a higher position, the following train is able to pass at the maximum speed corresponding to the upper signal just in an equivalent section. SOLUTION: A preceding train 21 predictively calculates the route clearing time of a passing track from its own position and speed after entering a shunting station and informs a following train of the time by a data-transmitting means. Then, the following train controls the travel of the train so as not to disobey a speed limiting signal by the preceding trains 21 in compliance with the predicted route clearing time of the through track transmitted from the preceding train. |
