PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor controller of a new structure for a battery operated vehicle capable of eliminating a failure caused by the disconnection of a flywheel diode. SOLUTION: A switching transistor 2 is provided on a power supplying line from batteries mounted on a car to a traveling motor 1. A microcomputer 6 controls the voltage to be impressed to the gate terminal of the switching transistor 2 via a drive circuit 7. Flywheel diodes 14, 15 are connected parallel to the traveling motor 1, and a Zener diode 16 is provided between the drain and gate terminals of the switching transistor 2. The microcomputer 6 determines the presence of the disconnection of the flywheel diodes 14, 15 based on the gate voltage of the switching transistor 2. |
