<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve loading/unloading of a ring retainer against the bottom surface part of a mouse casing. SOLUTION: In this ball holding device, after a ball 6 for inputting a coordinate is inserted into a casing 2 from an insertion port 17 opened to a casing bottom surface part 10, a pawl 19 formed on the tip face of a ring-retainer made of a resin is inserted into a groove 12 extending to the outer peripheral side form the inner peripheral face of the insertion port peripheral edge part 11 of the casing bottom surface part 10. Then, the ring-like retainer 18 is turned around the shaft core of the insertion port 17. The retainign part 14 of the pawl 19 is engaged with a retaining part 13 in a recessed form or a projecting form which is provided on the inner face of the casing bottom surface part 10. Thus, the elasticity of the pawl 19 becomes retaining force and the ring-like retainer 18 is integrally fixed to the casing 2. In the case of maintaining the ball or the like, the inner part of the ring-like retainer 18 partitioned by a slit 20 is pressed by a finger and the retaining force of the retaining part 14 against the retaining part 13 is weakened. The ring retainer 18 is turned in a direction opposite to that at the time of fitting the retainer in such a state, the retaining part 14 is detached from the retaining part 13 and the pawl 19 is extracted from the groove 12.</p> |
