摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of photoengraving processes in the manufacture of a TFT array substrate, to reduce the manufacture cost and to improve throughput in an active matrix type liquid crystal display device provided with a structure for which gate wiring and source wiring are short-circuited to prevent the static damage of a TFT. SOLUTION: In this liquid crystal display device for which a picture element electrode 14 is formed in a top layer, the gate wiring 2 and the source wiring 9 are short-circuited so as to prevent the static damage of the TFT by contact holes 13d and 13c on the gate wiring 2 and on the source wiring 9 formed simultaneously with the formation of the contact hole 13a for connecting a drain electrode 11 and the picture element electrode 14 and connection wiring 15 for connecting the gate wiring 2 and the source wiring 9 through the contact holes 13c and 13d formed simultaneously with the formation of the picture element electrode 14.</p>
