<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a deficiency that clutch control on traveling under coasting (an acceleration opening 0%) is carried out in compliance with a coasting time clutch disconnecting map in a controller, however, a clutch is connected for automatically controlling the clutch when a gear is shifted down to an advancing step in preparation for starting after stop, in the case where a vehicle is temporarily stopped from coasting traveling, the vehicle is traveled in a condition in which the vehicle is caught with a jerk so as to generate uncomfortable feeling on a driver. SOLUTION: An inside of a controller is provided with a map, a coasting time clutch disconnecting flag 5-2, and a timer 5-3. In the case where shift-down is carried out on coasting traveling, connection of a clutch is not adapted immediately even if a vehicle is traveled with a vehicle speed which must connect the clutch in compliance with a map, and the connection of the clutch is adapted after waiting for a timer time, and then the clutch is controlled. As a result, the vehicle speed is reduced to that which disconnection of the clutch can be held. Since the clutch is not connected, uncomfortable feeling is not generated.</p> |
