<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for an electrostatic latent image which can give positive electrification characteristics with a high electrification level, fast rising of charges and excellent durability and stability. SOLUTION: This magnetic toner for an electrostatic latent image contains a binder resin and a charge controlling agent. As for the charge controlling agent, a charge controlling agent(CCA) having a function to control the charge amt. to a specified range, and a charge enhancing resin(CCR) having a function to enhance charges are used together. The charge enhancing resin consists of a polymer or oligomer having a quaternary ammonium salt, a polymer or oligomer having carboxylates, or a polymer or oligomer having carboxyl groups. The charge controlling agent is at least one compd. selected from azine compds., direct dyes comprising azine compds., nigrosine, nigrosine salt, nigrosine deriv., acid dye comprising nigrosine compd., naphthenic acid, metal salts of higher fatty acids, alkoxylated amines, alkylamides. and quaternary ammonium salts.</p> |
