<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compsn. for forming an insulating coating film on a non-oriented silicon steel sheet by forming the insulating coating film on the non-oriented silicon steel sheet having low moisture absorptivity in a moist atmosphere, thereby imparting improved adhesiveness thereto and lessening powdering. SOLUTION: This non-oriented silicon steel sheet is coated with the insulating coating films for imparting a high level of surface resistivity to the surfaces in order to minimize the electric power loss between the layers on both surfaces. The insulating coating films consist essentially of the cured inorg./org. coating films contg., per 100 dry pts.wt., 20 to 60 pts. aluminum phosphate, 20 to 70 pts. at least one inorg. granular silicate and 10 to 25 pts. acrylic resin. The coating films are formed of an acidic aq. suspension contg. a monoaluminum phosphate soln., granular silicate and acrylic latex. The suspension contains a water-soluble org. solvent up to 1 pt.wt. per 1 pt. acrylic resin.</p> |
