<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rotation vibration of a cam phase variable device by improving the rotation balance of the cam phase variable device. SOLUTION: A cam phase variable device has a vane housing 32, which can rotate integral with a cam pulley, which rotate in synchronism with the crank shaft of an internal combustion engine, and a vane rotor 40, which can rotate relative to the housing and can rotate integral with a cam shaft. To the vane rotor 40, four vanes 44 are provided on the same circumference around the rotary center of the cam phase variable device in equal angle interval relation, and each vane is provided with a locking mechanism 70. The locking mechanism of one of two vanes opposing to each other in a diametral direction functions as a balancing means to the locking mechanism of the other vane.</p> |
