<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin composition which can give a color filter satisfactory in all of heat resistance, chemical resistance, adhesion, coatability, transparency, scratch resistance, and humidity resistance by incorporating a novolac epoxy resin with a phenolic or cocondensation-type novolac resin and a cure accelerator in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This composition is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. novolac epoxy resin with 10-300 pts.wt. novolac resin having structural units represented by formula I or II and 0.1-10 pts.wt. cure accelerator. The composition may optionally contain 1-50 pts.wt. functional silane coupling agent. The novolac epoxy resin used is a phenol novolac epoxy resin, a cresol novolac epoxy resin, or the like. The novolac resin used is desirably a mixture of a terpene phenol novolac resin having structural units of formula I with a bisphenol A novolac resin having structural units represented by formula II or a cocondensation-type novolac resin having structural units represented by formulae I and II in the same resin.</p> |
