PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which ink can be sucked individually from nozzles of different diameter having different suction conditions. SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder comprises recording heads 2C, 2Y ejecting different quantity of ink from nozzles of different diameter, a carriage 25 moving while varying the recording heads 2C, 2Y, a pump for sucking waste ink not used for printing, and an opening for sucking waste ink from the pump wherein the stop position of the carriage 25 can be set selectively depending on any one of nozzles of different diameter and the nozzle on the selected side can be conducted with the pump. |
