PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a negative electrode having discharge reaction progressing uniformly over the whole of negative electrode, without adding any new process. SOLUTION: A longer lithium alloy plate (a first lithium negative electrode) 24 and a shorter lithium alloy plate (a second lithium negative electrode) 21 are formed so that a part of the lithium alloy plate 24 exceeding the length of the lithium alloy plate 21 forms part of the outermost circumference when they are shaped into a spiral electrode body. A separator 20 with the lithium alloy plates 21, 24 sticked thereon is folded down such that the lithium alloy plates 21, 24 lie one upon the other. After a manganese-dioxide positive electrode 10a is disposed on the separator 20, it is wound such that the positive electrode 10a is situated on the inside thereof to make the spiral electrode body. The part of the lithium alloy plate 24 formed to exceed the length of the lithium alloy plate 21 is thereby disposed on the outermost circumference of the spiral electrode body. |
