<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly make decomposition products in gas harmless and removable by a method wherein in the case where an exhaust gas or the like containing an organochlorine compound is treated by purification, after blowing ammonia into a gas containing the organochlorine compound, an inside of an irradiation container is irradiated with electron beams, and further the gas after irradiation is brought in contact with a filter etc. SOLUTION: After blowing an alkali substance into a gas containing an organochlorine compound, the gas is introduced into an irradiation container, which is irradiated with electron beams. Thereafter, by bringing the irradiated gas into contact with a filter or the like, an efficient electrolytic treatment of an exhaust gas containing a volatile organochlorine compound is enabled to be executed. when the gas containing the volatile orgnochlorine compound is irradated with electron beams in an existence of the alkali substance thus, a substance in a condensed state which is made harmless is generated, and further a part of the organochlorine compound being reactive therewith is adsorbed thereto. Thereafter, the gas can be purified by being adsorbed to the filter. Further, in the case where the decomposed product is an organic compound without containing chlorine, the product is further decomposed by a microbe or the like to be allowed to invert into harmless CO2 or the like.</p> |
